Using the Browser Extension

What Is the Browser Extension?

The 3CX Browser Extension is a clever tool that turns phone numbers on websites into clickable links. Instead of copying and pasting numbers into your phone, just click them and 3CX dials automatically.

Where It Works

The browser extension works with:

• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Edge
• Any website with phone numbers (contact pages, directories, online listings, CRM systems)

How to Set It Up

Step 1: Install the Extension

1. Open your web browser (Chrome or Edge)
2. Make sure you're logged into the 3CX web client in another tab
3. In the web client, click on "Activate your 3CX Browser Extension"
4. You'll be directed to the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons page
5. Click "Add to Chrome" or "Add to Edge"
6. Confirm the installation

Step 2: Using the Extension

Once installed, the extension works automatically:

1. Browse to any website with a phone number
2. The extension will highlight phone numbers
3. Click on any highlighted number
4. The 3CX browser dialler will pop up
5. Click to dial – the call will start on your selected device
